At the end of the week a cooler air mass sets in before the temperatures change over the coming weekend. Another cold front is expected to sweep the area from Sunday night to Monday morning, with the chance of rain generally expected along and east of the Interstate 35 corridor.
Here are today’s top stories at Round Rock:
- The holidays are back Round rock. And to celebrate, the city is offering three fantastic nights of Christmas lights for the aannual Light Up the Lake event in December. (Round skirt patch)
- According to a recent study, Austinites pay the most for household bills than anyone else in Texas. (KXAN.com)
- The part off Chisholm Trail Road located south of RM 620, will be reduced to one lane from November 17th to November 19th at night from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (City of Round Rock)
- More than 500,000 people moved to Texas in 2019, and most of them were Californians, according to a Texas Realtors Report who analyzed the data from the Census Bureau. Californians announced that cheaper homes and space to grow were reasons they were moving to Austin. (Austin American-Statesman)
- Governor Greg Abbott asks the Texas Education Agency examines textbooks with “pornographic” narratives. He urges the agency to prosecute to the maximum extent possible any case of pornography made available to minors under the age of 18. (Austin patch)
