First the weather today:
Mostly sunny and pleasant. High: 75 Low: 50.
Your weekly forecast:
A pair of dry cold fronts brings more seasonal weather to the region, where mornings start cool to cool and afternoon highs are mild. Saturday will be the coolest day. Little rain until the beginning of next week.
Happy Veteran’s Day, neighbors!
Veterans Day, which is celebrated annually on November 11th, was first celebrated in 1919 in honor of the fighters of the First World War. It was originally called Armistice Day and was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.
The origin of the holiday is linked to the armistice, a temporary end to hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany, signed in France on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Austin will host many events to commemorate those who served with ceremonies and free food offers. Here is our guide for 2021.
