Orlando, Florida-based luxury bus service RedCoach is expanding its routes to Texas, where it will compete with Vonlane of Dallas.

Starting this week, RedCoach will be offering non-stop service between Dallas, Houston, Austin, College Station and Waco. The company describes its service as “an affordable, premium intercity option for Texas’s most populous cities.”

While a round-trip bus service from Vonlane’s bus service can cost customers $ 100 or more, RedCoach aims to provide cheaper transportation for business travelers and families in Business Class.

Similar to Vonlane, RedCoach buses are equipped with internet, sockets and reclining seats for passengers, on-board entertainment and free snacks and drinks.

Rides on a RedCoach bus typically start at $ 25, but the company said it is offering a discounted rate of $ 15 for Texas customers for a limited time through Nov. 16.

“We have been the only leading luxury liner service in the southeast region for more than a decade, and we believe in delivering a stress-free and affordable coach travel experience that treats every passenger as first class,” RedCoach VP of Marketing said Florencia Cirigliano in a statement .

RedCoach cites Texas’s booming population growth and recovery in travel demand as reasons for its expansion into the Lone Star State. Since its inception in 2010, RedCoach claims to have provided travel to more than 1 million customers in Florida.

Vonlane recently expanded outside of Texas and into Oklahoma with a route between Dallas and Oklahoma City in an effort to also help revitalize travel demand.
