Fredericksburg is ready for a new destination hotel that features a full-service spa, pool, cabana, and the works.
New Waterloo, an Austin-based hospitality developer, revealed its plans and is looking for the Albert Hotel, a modern take on a boutique hotel that is being built right on historic Main Street, according to a press release.
The hotel will also offer a function room, fitness center and full service spa.

Spanning 2 acres between 242 and 248 East Main Street, the 110 bedroom Albert Hotel is a Grade I listed project that utilizes four 19th century buildings.
Fredricksburg is 75 miles from Austin and San Antonio.
The hotel is named after the general city dweller Albert Kielel, whose family shaped the city. His great grandfather Dr. Wilhelm Keidel was a city doctor and his father Victor Keidel was a popular doctor and pharmacist in the historic city.

The courtyard pool will have a wall high enough to give guests a lot of privacy.

“New Waterloo has worked with the Keidel family to achieve a vision that will transform their original family homestead into a unique hospitality destination,” said Patrick Jeffers, New Waterloo chief development officer and partner.
The Albert Hotel will have three restaurants, two bars, a private dining room and in-room dining. The property will also have an outdoor pool, fitness center, and 2,000 square foot full-service spa. Guests can also host events in the 3,600-square-foot event space with a 1,200-square-foot mezzanine and an event lawn.

A cabana adjoins the pool.
