“There are many bright memories I long for, but I’ve done too much work not to realize that I’m here for something bigger than going to nightclubs.” Adrian told the magazine about his lifestyle change.
Why he chose Austin: “I bought an apartment in Austin five years ago and decided to move here permanently a year ago. I had friends here, I ran a business here and I liked the pace. Austin is open to the world without being snooty; it’s earthy. People are smart and successful, but they don’t flaunt it. There is nothing to prove, people accept you and it felt good straight away. “
About his connection with the nature that inspired his decision: “I have been doing environmental work for 20 years, have founded organizations and run non-profit organizations, all of which aim to convey to people that they should live more in harmony with nature – and yet I have not lived that way. In many ways, I’ve reached the height of that promise – if you work hard you get famous, then you make a lot of money … but at the top it was lackluster. “
When he left his Hollywood lifestyle behind: “It was a lot of fun and amazing while it lasted. I do not despise this phase of my development, in which I was able to penetrate deeply into my total, pathetic debauchery, but look at nature! Nature will tell you that things have to come to earth at some point, and I was in a phase of my life in which I had to change. “
If you want to open a nature reserve: He would like “to have llamas or alpacas, maybe a couple of goats – not for cattle breeding, but to keep the grass down.”
