Domestic violence statistics provided by APD say 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men experience domestic violence at some point in their life. APD also says the lifestyle changes caused by COVID-19 have “increased the stress that contributes to violence and decreased the interactions that can disrupt abuse”.
“That is why we are committed to raising awareness of what violence in the family means, why it is important and what healthy relationships look like,” said APD.
