The Audubon FFA Chapter hosted the Austin Alt Memorial Classic on Sunday, May 26th. The event took place at the Audubon County Fairgrounds at the Livestock Exposition Center. The program on Sunday consisted of a cattle show approved by the IJBBA and a pig show approved by the ISJS. The fair was pleased about the participation of youth exhibitors who showed 153 pigs (plus 40 compared to 2018) and 59 cattle (plus 19) in the areas of breeding, market and showmanship.

FFA Vice President Matt Brinkman said, “The shows went great and it was great to see locals and others taking part who drove for hours to be part of the Austin Alt Memorial Classic.”

Over 3,500 US dollars in prize money was awarded to the participating young people. Audubon FFA consultant Brittany Elmquist was pleased with the outcome of the cattle shows. “I was very happy with the participation in our shows. With the positive feedback from exhibitors and spectators, we are looking forward to next year’s trade fair.
