Chen is the very first female chair-elect in GAACC, making this a historic moment for the entire organization. She will succeed Ahmed Moledina, who has served as chairman since 2021 and is expected to retire in 2023 after his two-year term has expired.

Chen has strong business and accounting acumen and a proven track record as a shareholder in Brown, Graham & Company, PC, a regional accounting firm in Texas. She has more than twenty years of experience in the real estate and affordable housing industries. She has particular expertise in working with local governments, investors, developers and syndicators with their insurance, advisory and advisory needs.
