Angela Ubias had just quit her job as a buyer in an Austin boutique when she came across a job posting for an entry-level position at Texas Beauty Labs, one of the first clean beauty manufacturers. Seven and a half years later – after moving up to VP level and helping launch over 50 brands – Ubias realized that she wanted something that was hers. Using the product innovation and development skills she gained from her time at Texas Beauty Labs, Ubias partnered with Cary Lin and together the two formed Common Heir in an impactful way, Common Heir took on the task and released a plastic-free one and biodegradable vitamin C serum.
For Ubias, beauty is all about the rituals and traditions that you ground. Below, she takes us through her favorite beauty and wellness spots in the city, which she has called home since she was a student.
