[ad_1]
AUSTIN, TX – Austin-Travis County’s leaders have escalated COVID-19 risk-based guidelines to Level 3 as coronavirus cases increase in the area.
City and county leaders announced a return to level 3 guidelines in a virtual press conference on Tuesday. The decision is made after four confirmed cases of the Delta variant in the district and a “dramatic increase” in COVID-19 cases in the past few days.
Below level 3, people at high risk should avoid being in poorly ventilated indoor areas and avoid travel and crowds. If people need to be in these situations, they should wear a mask, health officials said.
Fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to follow Level 1 guidelines, which state that individuals can attend private indoor or outdoor gatherings and dine or shop without precaution. However, you should travel with precautions.
