‘Bachelor’ Star Bekah Martinez Enters Coco Austin Breastfeeding Debate, Slams ‘Disgustingly Judgmental Society’

Bachelor alum Bekah Martinez is defending model Coco Austin, who has faced backlash for revealing she is still breastfeeding her 5-year-old daughter Chanel, a practice known as prolonged breastfeeding when parents are longer than theirs American Academy of Recommended One Year Breastfeeding Breastfeeding Pediatrics.

According to people, Martinez showed support for Austin after an Instagram fan asked for their opinion on the matter. “It’s not strange and I think it’s great that she is comfortable enough to share it [her] Journey into our disgustingly judgmental society that has utterly backward views on when it is appropriate to wean, ”wrote the former reality star and current podcast hostwho is mother to daughter Ruth Ray De La Luz, 2½, and son Franklin James, 13 months.

Martinez added that breastfeeding “is a SKILL” and that new mothers “shouldn’t just expect to know how to do it intuitively”.

“Some people can do it that way, many can’t,” she wrote. “Take a course, watch YouTube videos, find an LC [lactation consultant] nearby, read books, etc. BEFORE you have a baby and plan if you will need additional support in due course. “

During an interview with Us Weekly on July 31st, Austin revealed, “Chanel still likes my boobs, she is 5 years old,” while sharing her parenting and prohibition advice. “It’s a great bonding moment for your mother and child.”

Austin later tweeted, “I get a lot of love from the mommies [sic] on my social media platforms that understand the “breast thing”. Many Thanks. The feeling of this connection is indescribable. It makes me feel wanted. ”Austin’s rapper husband Ice-T (who is Chanel’s father) also defended his wife on Twitter and made it clear that her daughter only breastfeeds regularly.

Other celebrity mothers have revealed their breastfeeding journeys, including retired gymnast Shawn Johnson East, who shared that her newborn son Jett breastfeeds easily, while the journey with daughter Drew was more of a challenge.
