There were many big winners at the best running dinner in America from The Running Event in Austin, Texas, which presented multiple awards to the best specialty retailers across the country. The biggest winner, however, was Charlotte Running Co.

The retailer with four locations in North Carolina and one in South Carolina took home the coveted “Store of the Year” award in 2021. Shop owner Scott Dvorak thanked last year’s winner, 1st Place Sports, for showing him how stores in the special run channel should be operating four decades ago.
