Former IBM Senior Vice President Appointment Announces New Leadership Team To Advance Trusted AI Company

Picciano as its new Chief Executive Officer. In addition to Mr. Picciano, the company also announces the appointment of its new Chief Revenue Officer Mike McQuaid, its new VP of Marketing Bart Peluso, the promotion of Gopal Krishnan to Senior Vice President of Engineering and Delivery, and the transition of Akshay (Shay) Sabhikhi to Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Sabhikhi, a co-founder, most recently served as CEO of the organization, a position he held for over seven years. The appointment of Mr. Picciano to oversee the company’s next phase of growth will allow Mr. Sabhikhi to leverage his 20 years of entrepreneurship experience and proven industry innovation as the company seeks to build the momentum of its Cortex AI platform.

Mr. Picciano is a pioneer in the fields of AI, analytics and information management. His 30+ years of experience as an IBM and industry veteran in research and development as well as sales in the software, hardware, AI and cloud portfolios has positioned him in a unique way to help clients get the most out of theirs Eliminate IBM product portfolios. Prior to retiring from IBM in 2020, Mr. Picciano was responsible for all aspects of research, development, sales and marketing for the IBM Cognitive Systems portfolio, including IBM’s multi-billion dollar Power Systems franchise. Cognitive Systems’ infrastructure offerings serve cloud computing platforms and data center requirements of all kinds. Mr. Picciano and his team also delivered the fastest and most intelligent HPC supercomputers in the world (Summit and Sierra) to the National Labs of the US Department of Energy and achieved record growth of eight quarters in business with cognitive systems.
