Curry Up Now, the nation’s largest and fastest growing Indian fast-casual concept, known for its innovative approach to Indian cuisine, has signed the lease for its first location in the Austin area. Franchise partners Ankita Mehta, Kamlesh Modi, Ratnakar Mody and Aryan Vig identified the mixed-use retail space Domain NORTHSIDE as the ideal location for their first location in Austin. The franchisees are also preparing to open the first Texas Curry Up Now location in the Dallas area and are aggressively looking for locations for an additional three locations in 2021.
Home of the famous Rock Rose entertainment district, the NORTHSIDE domain is the newest development in mixed-use real estate in North Austin. The one-of-a-kind lifestyle center combines iconic global brands and local Austin businesses with morning-through-night experiences, on-site residences at The Standard at Domain NORTHSIDE and one-of-a-kind events. The space also includes a mural area that Curry Up Now can use for its popular graffiti-style branded artwork.
“This is a prime location, and the fact that we could easily convert a former restaurant space for half the price of a brand new building in half the time made it even more attractive,” says Mehta. “The Curry Up Now menu is unique, fun, sexy, sassy, and affordable cuisine that you can’t find anywhere else. It’s a striking yet accessible concept that we know the Austin community will embrace. We are also considering opening ghost kitchens in this market to support brand growth. ”

The Texas franchise partners signed a contract in November 2020 to bring several Curry Up Now restaurants to the Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin areas. Their first location at The Grandscape, a large multifunctional entertainment, dining and retail complex in The Colony, is expected to open in the coming months.
