Delectable Innovations announced the launch of the local restaurant group’s latest food concept, ATX Sliders. ATX Sliders will host a grand opening ceremony at the Saxon Pub in South Austin on Saturday, June 12th, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The food truck is currently in operation with limited opening times before the grand opening.
The ATX Sliders is run by Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ Co-Founder Chef Michael Lerner and Executive Chef Carlos Cruz, former Executive Chef at the Hilton Austin.
Some of the more notable menu items include The Soco, a single beef pusher with brie, tomato jam, and dijonnaise; The Southern Gentleman, prepared with a crispy chicken breast in buffalo sauce, garnished with baby rocket and Gorgonzola cream sauce; The Bonnell, a grilled chicken slider with goat cheese, rocket, caramelized onions and a homemade spicy and hearty “Texas sauce”; and The Farmer’s Market, a black bean and vegetable slider with tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and toasted garlic aioli. As a side dish, there are fries with straight cut or sweet potatoes as well as fries with queso, guacamole or salsa. The full menu can be found online at ATXSliders.com.
“We love the idea of offering sliders because it gives our customers the opportunity to try out several flavors at the same time,” says Michael Lerner, Executive Chef of ATX Sliders. “Chef Carlos and I have been working together for months to create a unique and flavourful menu that you might not otherwise experience unless you come over to visit. It was certainly a long way to get here today, but we’re now looking forward to finally serving Austinites this summer! “
As well as serving great food, ATX Sliders is passionate about serving the local community. ATX Sliders offers a bespoke Slider of the Month that will benefit a local Austin-based nonprofit. With every purchase of the Slider of the Month, the team donates $ 2 to the monthly charitable partner.
The first slider of the month for this June is the Green Chile Pork Slider, which Austin Pets Alive will benefit from! The Green Chile Pork Slider is made with pork patty, provolone, hatch green chilli, baby rocket, pickled onions, and green chilli aioli and is available for just $ 6.
ATX Sliders is hosting a special opening ceremony on June 12th from 11am to 4pm with free food, freebies, family-friendly activities, local live music and more. Interested patrons are encouraged to follow the final details of the event on social media.
ATX Sliders is located at 1320 South Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704, just outside the Saxon Pub. The opening hours are from 4 p.m. to midnight today through Sunday, June 6. From Monday, June 7th, the opening times are from Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. ATX Sliders also caters for block parties, office events, birthdays and more.
