The Texas Longhorns got good news on the recruiting front this week when defensive end-product Omari Abor of Duncanville, TX Mike Roach of 247Sports announced his intention to visit 40 Acres on July 30th.
Abor will be attending along with other elite prospects including Cy Park (Cypress, TX) linebacker Harold Perkins, who played a role in bringing Abor to Austin.
“We just made the plan last night while we were at the (video) game,” Abor told Horns247.
Perkins, who recently visited Austin himself, is one of the top linebackers in the country and is considering a variety of top-notch schools, including Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, USC, Oregon, and Florida with the Longhorns, Aggies, and Tigers believed in the best Position for his signature to be.

Arguably the front runner in the country, Abor is a stocky defender who can play in multiple spots along the defensive line and who has superior strength and athleticism. Abor is also a three-sports star in soccer, basketball, and athletics.
Abor revealed his top 10 this spring, naming the Longhorns among his finalists, alongside Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Missouri, Ohio State, USC, and Arizona State.
Abor was primarily recruited by Special Teams Coordinator Jeff Banks and Defense Coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski.
