Adrian Grenier may have had an upscale life as Vincent Chase on Entourage, but now the Hollywood actor lives a self-sufficient life in Texas.
In an interview with Austin Life magazine, Grenier announced that he had left Los Angeles and New York behind to start farming.

His farm is reportedly located 45 minutes outside Austin in Bastrop, a town of about 88,723 people, according to US census data. It’s also not far from the Colorado River and wildflower fields, the magazine reports.
“I bought an apartment in Austin five years ago and decided to move here permanently a year ago,” Grenier told Austin Life. “I had friends here, I ran a business here and I liked the pace. Austin is open to the world without being snooty; it’s earthy. People are smart and successful, but they don’t flaunt it.”

The 44-year-old actor moved to Texas in December and has worked to turn his country into a “wildlife sanctuary” where bees, butterflies, birds and eventually llamas or alpacas find food.
The products that he and his partner Jordan Roemmele grow together include peaches, apples, medlars, figs, avocados and more. The two are also working to rebalance their pond so they can fish for their own protein.

Although Grenier has made significant strides on his farm in the past few months and has documented much of it on his Instagram, he doesn’t call himself a “farmer”. Instead, he prefers the word “apprentice”.
Long before he made a lifestyle change, Greiner’s breakout roles were on the HBO series “Entourage” and David Frankel’s “The Devil Wears Prada”.

However, he felt the urge to change his life path when he realized that he was not living sustainably.
“I’ve done environmental work for the past 20 years, I’ve founded organizations and run non-profit organizations, all of which are geared towards telling people to live more in harmony with nature – and yet I haven’t lived that way” Said Greiner told Austin Life. “In many ways, I’ve reached the height of that promise – if you work hard you get famous, then you make a lot of money … but at the top it was lackluster.”
