Check out the latest business updates for South Austin, including a new Aloft hotel coming this summer and another one planned sometime in the future.

1. Aloft Hotels opens a new location at 4108 S. I-35, Austin. The six-story, 135-room hotel, slated to open in August, will be the sixth in the Austin area for the international hotel chain. Aloft is also planning a new hotel in southwest Austin near the intersection of MoPac and William Cannon Drive. The company has not disclosed an expected opening date for this location. www.aloft-hotels.marriott.com
2. Freddo ATX plans to open at 2336 S. Congress Ave., Austin, in late August. The café will have both an indoor area and a terrace. The menu offer includes ice-cold cappuccinos and espresso as well as beer, wine and food. The café is housed in the historic Walter -ipps-Haus, which was built in 1876 and restored in the 1970s. www.freddoatx.com
3. Longhorn Imaging will have a new location at 701 E. FM 1626, Ste. 104, Austin, July 1. The ambulatory medical imaging company focuses on MRI services, CT scans, ultrasound, and X-rays. Longhorn Imaging has three other existing Austin locations, including an additional South Austin location at 4316 James Casey St., Bldg. F, 110 St. www.longhornimaging.com
4. OHT Partners is the new name of the company, known as Oden Hughes since early June. The multi-family real estate development company has completed or started more than 27,000 homes in the Austin, Dallas-Forth Worth and San Antonio areas in the past decade, according to a press release. The new name reflects the initials of all three company directors, Steve Oden, Craig Hughes and Eric Taylor. According to the announcement, Taylor has headed the company’s construction division since 2011. The company’s Austin office is located at 901 S. MoPac, Bldg. 3, St. 220. www.ohtpartners.com
5. Pure Barre will open a new location at 4301 William Cannon Drive, Bldg. B, St. 114, Austin, September. Franchise owner Lisa O’Neill said her passion for the pole made her decide to open the business after seeing what training did for her and her daughter.
