Forcepoint To Acquire Deep Secure to Extend Defense-Grade Security for Critical Infrastructure, Enterprises and Governments Worldwide
[ad_1]
Austin, Texas, June 15, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Forcepoint, a leading global provider of data-first cybersecurity solutions that protect critical information and networks for thousands of customers around the world, announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire UK based Deep Secure signed. Deep Secure’s cybersecurity products and services protect organizations from cyber attacks transmitted via malware and help prevent unwanted data loss.
The proposed acquisition of Deep Secure is based on expansion opportunities that will allow Forcepoint to expand the capabilities of its industry-leading Cross Domain Solutions portfolio to provide improved efficiencies in securing critical data and missions by governments in the US and beyond. Cross-domain solutions enable the secure exchange and secure access to critical mission and operational data between the security layers of the government and the critical infrastructure and offer improved security and functionality for missions with high consequences around the world.
“Forcepoint has been the global leader in cross-domain solutions for more than 20 years. We have maintained this leadership position by working closely with government agencies, commercial customers and technology partners to ensure that our solutions continue to provide the best possible security and usability. And at the same time support the current and future mission requirements of our customers, “said Sean Berg, President of Global Governments and Critical Infrastructure at Forcepoint.
“The addition of Deep Secure’s innovative threat removal platform and hardware security to our Forcepoint Cross Domain Solutions portfolio extends the depth of our defensive capabilities to governments and critical infrastructure organizations around the world that continue to be besieged by nation states.” and other attackers looking for financial gain or ultimately seeking to disrupt societies and economies on a large scale. We look forward to finalizing the transaction and the subsequent integration of the Deep Secure team and technology into Forcepoint following the required regulatory reviews in the coming weeks, “continued Berg.
Deep Secure addresses a major problem for businesses – the secure exchange of information with trusted and untrustworthy sources. Deep Secure’s threat removal platform takes a zero trust approach to data, assuming all original data is infected and preventing that data from reaching its destination. Instead, information is extracted from the original data, verified as safe using hardware-based verification, and then new data is created to get the information safely to its destination. Harmful or unrecognized data hidden in the document will be deleted.
Deep Secure’s threat removal platform helps eliminate threats from a number of the most common attack vectors, including email and web downloads, and is ideal for businesses that need the highest levels of security. Unlike traditional Content, Disarm & Reconstruction (CDR) products, Deep Secure’s threat removal platform is non-detection reliant and has proven to be extremely effective with streamlined user experience, flexible delivery, and proven ROI.
“There is already a significant alignment between Forcepoint and Deep Secure based on our respective defense and intelligence footprints and our shared mission to take a data-first, zero-trust approach to security that will be the digital crown jewels around everyone Price protects – what is critical to business integrity today, “said Dan Turner, CEO of Deep Secure. “The cost-effectiveness of eliminating the malware threat in the information flows is really compelling and by extending the threat removal approach to cross-domain solutions on premise, hybrid or in the cloud, companies can experience defense-grade cybersecurity solutions at exceptional value. ”
Subject to regulatory review and customary closing conditions, the transaction is expected to be in August 2021.
Forcepoint’s data-first SASE with built-in defense-grade CDR for the enterprise
In addition, with threat removal a critical factor in preventing compromised data that leads to a security breach, Forcepoint plans to incorporate Deep Secure’s CDR technology into the company’s data-first SASE architecture for global enterprises.
The Forcepoint Data-first SASE platform enables companies to use the cloud to transform their network and security architectures. With data security paramount, Forcepoint’s SASE is able to simplify connectivity and standardize security enforcement wherever employees, partners and customers use data in the distributed enterprise.
More details on the new built-in CDR capabilities in Forcepoint’s data-first SASE platform will be announced later this year after the acquisition is complete.
