DEARBORN, Michigan, June 2, 2021 – Bronco® all-4×4 SUV outdoor lifestyle brand is adding to its adventure legacy with the opening of a one-of-a-kind Bronco Off-Roadeo experience center on June 28 in Horseshoe Bay. Texas, near Austin. Bronco and Bronco Sport owners and orderers receive free instructions on how to get their SUV off-road.
Each Bronco Off-Roadeo Experience will put Bronco brand riders to the test for a day and a half on 50 miles of curated trails * and show them the capabilities and performance of their brand new two- and four-door Bronco SUV and SUV Bronco Sport Badlands ™ and First Edition SUV. Three more off-roadeo adventure parks are scheduled for later this year in Mt. Potosí, Nevada; Moab, Utah; and the northeastern United States.
“Bronco is more than a vehicle, it’s an outdoor brand and the Bronco Off-Roadeo will help bring it to life,” said Lindsey Laporte, Bronco Experience Manager. “It’s an immersive experience and Bronco owners will come with more off-roading skills and a deeper understanding of Bronco skills while also being introduced to the Bronco Nation community.”
Each location offers expertly crafted and curated off-road courses with support from iconic names in off-road sports such as Professional Fun-Haver Vaughn Gittin Jr., King of the Hammers champion Loren Healy, and renowned off-road experience manager Bob Burns. The four locations are designed to challenge participants with hardcore desert running, rock crawling, and trail riding.
Horseshoe Bay offers breathtaking sunsets and rugged ranches where wild broncos roam free. Bronco 4×4 enthusiasts will feel at home behind the wheel and learn to navigate the private trails, steep hills, and craggy ledges of central Texas.
The program is aimed at off-road beginners and experts alike and begins with a 90-minute practical tutorial that teaches owners features such as Trail Control and Terrain Management System ™ with GOAT Modes ™ (overcomes any type of terrain). With properly equipped Bronco two- and four-door models, owners can use available off-road technology tools such as the FordPass Performance App with off-road navigation, stabilizer separation, one-pedal drive, trail turn assist, front and rear differential locks and a 360-degree camera system with spotter -View.
The tutorials are led by trail guides who highlight design and technology features and help Bronco owners better navigate off-road courses and explore rough trails. Experience includes trail etiquette and recovery techniques, including fitting out and using equipment such as recovery straps, winches, and lifting platforms. Owners can venture out on two- or four-hour trail drives that will challenge their off-road skills while highlighting their vehicle’s capabilities.
Specially curated adventure add-ons allow Bronco owners to purchase additional outdoor activities such as half-day kayaking, fly fishing, white water rafting, or mountain biking excursions. The days end around the campfire where attendees can share their experiences while building the Bronco community among new friends.
“The Bronco Off-Roadeo doesn’t begin and end in the field,” says Laporte. “Trail riding is at the heart of any adventure, but visitors can add other outdoor activities to their hiking tour. And they learn how important it is to step lightly and to deal responsibly with the paths and nature. “
Bronco and Bronco Sport owners can leave their vehicle at home when visiting a Bronco Off-Roadeo location and instead drive a model similar to their own.
Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the experience and for the overnight stay. Friends and family members can join for a fee, as can other non-Bronco owners. Each Bronco Off-Roadeo location offers stay-and-play packages with hotels or resorts in the area, such as Horseshoe Bay Resort, a premier lakefront golf resort near the Texas venue. At this award-winning facility, families can rent watercraft, dine at seven on-site outlets, enjoy three championship golf courses, two resort-style pools, and daily resort activations. Details on the other three locations will be announced during the summer and early fall just before the parks open.
The first registration is only possible for owners and orders of a Bronco two-door, Bronco four-door or Bronco Sport Badlands. Customers waiting for their two- or four-door Bronco SUV to arrive can get behind the wheel of a Bronco before handing over their vehicle and will also receive a $ 250 voucher to equip the Bronco Off-Roadeo or to apply for the cost of taking a guest along or for optional adventure experiences.
