In this week’s interview edition of The Flagship Podcast, we talk to former Texas running back Jeremy Hills, who is now an elite performance coach, about his new 20,000-square-foot exercise / lifestyle facility – The Kollective – in mid-August as well as his Pro Stars Camp on July 10th in Austin.
Hills takes us through his journey from Texas as a running back (from 2008-11), then his time as an elite performance coach at Onnit, to now being alone with The Kollective where he will help train a high profile client list with NFL stars like Jalen Ramsey, Derwin James, Kenny Vaccaro, Alex Okafor, Joseph Ossai and many more.
In fact, all of the aforementioned players will be part of the Hills’ Pro Stars Camp in Austin on July 10, as will rookie linebacker Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys, Kyle Pitts of the Atlanta Falcons, Budda Baker of Cardinals’ Safety and Deshaun ‘quarterback the Texan Watson as well as former Longhorns in the NFL – Quandre Diggs, Malcolm Brown, Malcom Brown and DeShon Elliott will also be part of the camp.
“I don’t know of any other camp where more than 40 active NFL players train their kids (ages 6-18) in their technique in positional exercises,” Hills told the flagship podcast.

Hills said 100 percent of the proceeds from donations between $ 150 and $ 500 will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society camp, local Austin Foster Homes, and Alex Okafor’s Survivor Scholarship Program. (A $ 500 donation allows for Pro Stars Camp attendance, a signed soccer ball and picture with your favorite NFL star in attendance, and a VIP meet and greet with all of the NFL stars.)
Hills goes into detail about all of the components of the collective, including helping to recruit top physical therapists and coaches from across the country to add staff.
Hills has also created space for everything in the Kollective, from Pilates, a lounge area (with a mini-cinema), 3,000 square meters of space for members to work, studios for recording podcasts and 175 parking spaces of their own.
Of course, we ask Hills for his thoughts on Texas football – where he’s been since 2009 – and where he’s going.
Hills talks about Texas not developing the mental side of football in addition to the physical, as a reason the Longhorns are “below par”.
But Hills, who introduced new Texas coach Steve Sarkisian at a recent lunch for the Boys And Girls Clubs of Austin, is optimistic that UT is on the right track.
Hills talks about what made the Texas teams special in 2008 and 2009, and why Colt McCoy is a “junkyard dog” who still plays quarterback in the NFL … and more.
Hills also talks about his friendship with former Texas student and NFL super agent David Mulugheta of Athletes First and how they helped each other.
It’s an interview edition from The Flagship Podcast that shouldn’t be missed.
