Hawaiian Bros, known for Hawaiian home cooked food, is due to open its second standalone brick and mortar location in Texas at 1439 N. I-35, San Marcos, according to a press release on June 8th.
The first stand-alone location opened in Kyle in May, but the restaurant also has Texas locations in Austin and Garland within other companies. Hawaiian Bros also has stores in Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri, with the first opening in Kansas City, Missouri, in 2018.
Hawaiian Bros does not use freezers, deep fryers, or microwaves and the food is freshly prepared every day. Notable menu items include the conceptual dish, Huli Huli Chicken, a marinated grilled teriyaki chicken, and Luau Pig, a slow-fried Kalua pork that is seasoned with Hawaiian sea salt. The restaurant also offers tropical soft ice cream dishes, spam musubi, and a macaroni salad with a secret blend of spices.
Before the official opening, three preview events will take place at the San Marcos location. The first event for first responders and medical personnel will take place on June 5th between 11am and 2pm; the second, for students, teachers, administrators and other educational workers, is scheduled for June 5th from 5pm to 8pm; the third, which takes place for local businesses, is scheduled for June 6th from 11 am to 2 pm set
There will be a grand opening on June 8th at 11 a.m., and the first 100 people will receive gift cards worth at least $ 25. One person will receive a $ 500 gift card while another will receive free meals at Hawaiian Bros for a year, the company said in the press release.
