Here are 10 Texas glamping rentals still available this summer

Traditional camping isn’t for everyone, so sites like Glamping Hub offer the opportunity to experience the pastime with luxuries like running water and air conditioning.
The online rental website for luxury and unique outdoor accommodation still has a number of locations for last minute getaways during the busy summer camping season. However, you should act quickly, especially if you are planning a Labor Day weekend trip in early September.
“We recommend people who want to leave for a holiday as soon as possible,” said Olivia Grafton, a spokeswoman for Glamping Hub. “Those hoping for last minute travel might be disappointed with limited options in the year”
The website saw a sharp surge in bookings this summer, particularly on Memorial Day weekend and July 4th. Of the nationwide 15,000 advertisements, only 10 percent were available on July 4th. Glamping Hub said booking requests for the vacation were made about four times earlier than normal – about 75 days in advance.
While some of the rentals require a small road trip, there are availabilities in the San Antonio and Austin areas.
Here are some of the glamping rentals that are still available in Texas:
Bell tent, Johnson City
This rental is right outside the entrance to Pedernales Falls State Park, which has plenty of hiking trails and natural vistas. This two-person tent has a queen-size bed and WiFi. The property also has a shared bath house, kitchen and laundry room.

Secluded Cabin, Johnson City
About a mile from Pedernales Falls State Park, this rental promises beautiful views and privacy. The cabin has a queen bed for two, a small bathroom, kitchenette, WiFi, and air conditioning to brave the Texas heat. A picnic area, grill, and fire pit allow guests to have fun outdoors.

Gypsy Carriage, Johnson City
This unique rental is located near Dripping Springs and less than 2 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park. Inside, the property has a double bed with air conditioning and a private terrace with a fireplace. You also have access to a communal kitchen, bathhouse and laundry room.

For glamping with a retro twist, this rental offers a range of accommodations to relax in. The property has an attached deck under the trees and includes a hot tub, outdoor shower, hammock and fire ring. During the day, explore the 10 acre property and surrounding oak and elm grove on Smith Creek.

Although it may be tiny, this two-bedroom apartment can sleep up to five people for a weekend getaway. Located in the middle of a working farm, the rental has a fireplace, picnic tables and a surrounding orchard. But be warned, it only has a microwave and mini fridge. A bathhouse is separate from the tiny house, and guests should be aware that others can use it during the day.
