What began as a food trailer on Austin’s South First Street in 2006 has grown into a hot sauce-infused empire of 95 Torchys tacos locations in 11 states.

Register now by August 31st at Torchy’s Taco Junkies Rewards Club to be able to win. Besides the one lucky fan who gets 15 years of tacos, others will win a year of Torchy’s Tacos; a VIP trip for two to Austin, the location of the first Torchy site; a taco truck party for 25 and Torchy’s goods.

In the early days of Torchy, chef and founder Mike Rypka spread the word Torchy’s by driving his red Vespa around town giving away fries and salsa. According to Torchy’s website, the first customers all said, “Damn, these tacos are good!” and a slogan was born.

“The last 15 years have done us damn well and we are infinitely grateful for the love and support that we have received from our loyal guests over the years,” said Rypka. “To our first guests who took a chance at Torchy’s and lined up by the Austin trailer, to the newest taco junkies to join us as we grow, we are honored to serve you – and we want to Thank you for our birthday and celebrate it.
