Hollywood stars are leaving Tinseltown to reshape their lives in Austin, Texas.

Actors Stephen Amell, Zachary Levi and Jared Padalecki are among the stars lured to the state capital, which is in the midst of an economic boom that only accelerated during the pandemic, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s absolutely insane,” said Padalecki of the astronomical growth, the outlet reported.

“It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. It’s growth and expansion on a turbocharger. You just walk like … whoa. “

Average home prices in the city skyrocketed 43 percent over the past year as tech companies like Samsung and Oracle settled in the city and dozens of other remote workers were drawn to the lifestyle upgrade opportunity.

Tesla boss Elon Musk has predicted that the city will become a modern “boomtown”.

“It’s going to be the biggest boom town America has seen in 50 years,” said Musk, who is opening a Tesla factory just outside the city limits, on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

“Dallas Buyers Club” actor Matthew McConaughey, who is considered the unofficial brand ambassador for Austin, said he has long been waiting for the influx of newcomers.

“I was just waiting for the secret to come out,” the Oscar-winning actor told the point of sale.

“I look forward to growth. We’re not going back. We don’t have a landmark like Niagara Falls or Disney World or the Eiffel Tower. They all come for the mood – we have people. “

McConaughey said one of the challenges will be to preserve the “soul” of the city despite the transplants from Hollywood and elsewhere.

“What we have to be careful about in Austin is preserving our DNA,” McConaughey told the point of sale.

“I’ve spoken to a lot of people and since they came here I’ve kept hearing the two words ‘hospitality’ and ‘optimism’. So my line was: ‘Don’t transform here why you left there.’ Our challenge will be how to deal with this huge influx. If any place has an identity in the soul that we need to preserve, it is Austin. “
