Austin’s longstanding home for pioneering lifestyle furnishings has received a makeover that enables the brand to become more practical as a design center.
Four Hands, founded in Austin in 1996 and valued for its high-end furniture and regular bargain events, has redesigned its flagship showroom on Woodward St. 2090 in South Austin. The major renovation was led by the renowned architecture firm Michael Hsu Office of Architecture from Austin and the result is anything but just a window dressing.
As part of the upgrade, the 20,000 square meter showroom received some newly raised 4.5 meter high ceilings and new floor to ceiling windows, as well as a new color palette that provides a subtle backdrop for the presentation of Four Hands furniture. In addition, the showroom will now host an extensive art exhibition highlighting the curated collection of wall art by emerging artists from across the country.
Speaking of art, the brand is renewing its program to reflect the state of the art, combining new printing technology with masterfully crafted techniques to create high quality, sustainable works of art that closely mimic the textures of the original works.
All of this is set to redesign Four Hands as a design hub for wholesale customers, local designers, and Austin consumers.

Once a hidden gem, Four Hands Home has grown into a style haven for Austinites and designers across the country. “
According to the company, the facelift of the showroom comes in the midst of the rapid growth of Four Hands, whose headquarters were also recently extensively redesigned and redesigned by Michael Hsu. Four Hands, which also has offices in China, India, Vietnam, Mexico, Indonesia and showrooms in North Carolina and Las Vegas, employs 415 full-time employees and plans to add 60 new employees to its US offices this year.
