An apartment complex with 336 units will open in Georgetown at the end of 2022.

The Morgan Group, a multi-family developer based in Houston, breaks ground for the project in August. The Caroline will have 16 three-story buildings and will include amenities such as a pool, dog park, clubhouse and fitness center.

The Caroline is located on the south side of Georgetown at 5300 N. Mays St. and is close to the HEB and Round Rock Premium Outlets.

In 2020, the Morgan Group opened an office in Austin to expand into the region. Jason Hauck, the company’s development partner in the central region, said Caroline is the company’s third multi-family parish in the region.

“We’re trying to deliver a quality product at an affordable price,” he said in a press release.

Hauck assumes that the new community will be attractive both to young professionals who work in the area and to tenants who want more space.

Information from ApartmentData.com shows the multi-family market in the Austin subway is recovering faster than other subways in the state, according to the press release. Hauck said the demand for rental units has increased over the past three months.

“The population around Caroline in Georgetown is well educated and has a strong household income,” said Hauck. “New jobs on the north side continue to draw people north.”
