AUSTIN (KXAN) – If you’re worried about having cash or debit / credit cards on the Austin City Limits grounds, the festival has found an easy way to pay for items with just your wristband.

It’s called ACL Cashless. The process allows you to link a credit or debit card to your wristband so that you can pay for food, drinks or merch at the festival with a tap of your finger.
You have to register your bracelet online in advance. Select the card that you want to associate with your bracelet, then set a PIN number for security reasons. Once you do this online, you are good to go.
When you get to the festival, you can order from any bar or vendor that has the ACL Cashless logo on – just let them know you’re using your bracelet.
Tap your bracelet and enter your PIN number to complete the purchase.

If you are an American Express cardholder and you register your Amex card with ACL Cashless, you will receive a one-time $ 10 credit on your wristband that you can use to shop at the festival. You will also receive a free 20th anniversary commemorative badge designed by local artist Tom Jean Webb. You can pick up your badge at the American Express Shop Small Market at the festival.
You can also activate your bracelet online, which ensures smooth access to the festival and allows you to add emergency contact information to your bracelet.
