Leroy Flores. Jr., 54 years old, died in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 26, 2021. He was born on April 4, 1967 in San Antonio, Texas to Leroy E. Flores Sr. and Maureen Garnham Lopez.

Leroy attended Marin B. Fenwick Elementary, Horace Mann Middle School and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School Class with a proud Mustang in 1985. He continued his studies at Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing in 1991, where he met the love of his life, Coreen Silva. They married on July 28, 1990 and had been married for 31 years. Leroy was a loyal and dedicated employee of TLH Enterprises for 28 years, where he worked as a store and area manager. He had a keen eye for detail and a great business acumen. It excelled and flourished, which enabled it to earn the company’s top award as Store of the Year, also known as the Eagle Award, in 2013, 2019 and 2021.

Leroy was a devoted Catholic and faithful served as Minister of Hospitality for St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church. His favorite pastime was visiting many places in Texas, the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico with his wife and family. However, his heart really was with the Hill Country of Texas, which Lost Maples visited many times. He looked forward to continuing his travel in the United States by motorhome during his retirement years. He also loved his Texas sports, including the UT Texas Longhorns, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros, and most importantly, his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Most importantly, Leroy had a never-ending love for his family and was forever a proud father to his four children and offered his continuous support in all of their endeavors, including the cross-country running of his three boys Ryan, Aaron and Austin, and Aaron Kicks our country as a U.S. Marine and serves the 1/7 – 1st Battalion 7th Marine Regiment. He enjoyed watching his daughter Lauren receive her various academic awards and was very hopeful of the things that would come for her in the future.

In death he is preceded by his paternal grandmother, Anita E. Flores; Maternal grandparents, Frederick Wilfred and Marjorie Garnham; and brother, Troy A. Flores.

He is survived by his wife Coreen Flores; Children, Ryan Lee Flores, Aaron David Flores, Austin James Flores, Lauren Rachel Flores; Father, Leroy E. Flores, Sr .; Mother, Maureen (Adolfo) Lopez; Siblings, Amanda (Scott) Kruizenga, Mark Godoy, Michelle (Robert) Buchholz, Allison (Richard) Gorzell; Mother-in-law Estella Nejeres; Brother-in-law, David (Terrie) Silva, Ben (Christine) Tipton, David Abraham (DonAngelica) Silva; several nieces; Nephews; other relatives; and friends.

The visitation begins on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The visitation continues on Thursday from 8:00 a.m., with the funeral procession going to the church at 9:30 a.m. The funeral mass will take place on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church. The funeral will take place on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Pallbearers for the services will be Ryan, Aaron, Austin Flores, Mark Godoy, Richard Gorzell, and Daniel Hinson.
