NASCAR DraftKings Fantasy Driver Rankings: Food City 300 at Bristol DFS Picks

[ad_1]

The ranking below is based on a mix of expected performance and Draft kings‘NASCAR salaries for that day. The order is not based on the highest projected fantasy sums, but on the value of each driver.

The DraftKings Food City 300 NASCAR Slate locks on Friday at 7:45 p.m. ET.

1. Ty Gibbs ($ 11,500) – What will happen if Ty Gibbs isn’t buried in the field to start? It didn’t seem to hurt him last week, starting 15th and leading most of the laps. Not only does the No. 54 JGR Toyota have a track position, but Gibbs will also get reruns in the ARCA race.

2. Austin Cindric ($ 11,200) – He should have won the Bristol autumn race last season but lost his power steering in the last 20 laps and finished third. In Dover a few months ago when Cindric reached the position on the track in the third stage, he drove to victory.

3. Justin Allgaier ($ 10,800) – Without practice, DFS NASCAR players have to rely on the route and the current form. Unfortunately, these data points are not very predictive. Last week, Allgaier checked every box and scored below average. Allgaier is checking the current form and route fields again this week.

4. Brandon Jones ($ 9,400) – Bristol is a fickle circuit and even the best drivers struggle to finish races in the Coliseum. Ironically, one of the most ruthless drivers in the series has finished five of the last six races with an average of eighth place in those five races.

5. Sam Mayer ($ 9,900) – Daniel Hemric has never won a NASCAR race in 200 attempts. Mayer has only driven a handful of races and not only has a win, but also a win in Bristol. Mayer has experience and will earn more at the ARCA race this weekend.

6. Ty Dillon ($ 9,000) – This is a top 10 car with a top 10 driver, and results will only get better as Dillon gets more reps. Dillon jumped in the cold and took two top 15 finishes in his first two starts with Our Motorsports. Unlike many drivers in the field, Dillon has a lot of experience this weekend in Bristol.

7.Noah Gragson ($ 10,200) – Last spring in Bristol, Gragson stole a win from teammate Justin Allgaier with an aggressive late restart. He was never in the picture in the autumn race, but he had a top 10 car. At Dover, Gragson’s car struggled with the setup being built for a track that was supposed to be tightened as it needed rubber, but the track was never rubberized.

8. Harrison Burton ($ 9,600) – This has been a solid season for Burton, but it has been a terribly disappointing season for JGR and crew chief Jason Ratcliff. Championships are almost irrelevant in the Cup series and wins are most important. In the lower series, championships are comparable to triple-A baseball championships. Wins are the only thing that matters in the Xfinity Series, and Burton has none this season.

9. Michael Annett ($ 8,300) – From 2018 to 2019 Annett achieved three consecutive top 10 finishes in Bristol. He was collateral damage last season when Austin Cindric and Ross Chastain got caught in their weekly wreck. In the fall race, Brandon Jones turned Joe Graf and Graf into Annett.

10. Daniel Hemric ($ 9,200) – At Dover, Hemric’s team struggled to find a setup that suited him, and he finished ninth in the high-benched concrete oval. Last spring in Bristol, Hemric only had the seventh best drivers standings against a soft field and several top drivers failed early.

11. AJ Allmendinger ($ 10,500) – Bristol doesn’t feel like an Allmendinger circuit, but before this season no circuit was an Allmendinger circuit. Kaulig Racing builds fast cars and Allmendinger is more committed than ever.

12. Myatt Snider ($ 7,800) – Last fall, Snider Ryan drove Sieg’s replacement car and poked a hole in the oil pan. The team needed this car to win the playoffs, so Snider had to retire early. In the spring race, Snider finished fifth for RCR in Bristol.

13.Riley Fall ($ 8,100) – The # 98 SHR won the Bristol Autumn Race last season, but Chase Briscoe won all over the place last season and Fall has three top 5s this season. With his only experience in Bristol in the form of non-training races, he needs a few more races before he will be a contender.

14. Justin Haley ($ 8,700) – His fast laps in the last two races at Bristol are not an indicator of speed. Unplanned pit stops resulted in fresh tires, so Haley drove fast laps. The unplanned pit stops were the result of aggressive driving.

15. Jeffrey Earnhardt ($ 5,400) – JD Motorsports cars rank 20th to 25th but on a volatile track like Bristol that number can climb to 15th to 20th place due to wear and tear. He finished 17th and 15th in Earnhardt’s two races with JD Motorsports in Bristol last season.

16. Ryan Vargas ($ 4,900) – Jeffrey Earnhardt is the safer punt based on his experience – who would have thought this sentence would ever be spelled? Vargas works as Earnhardt’s JD Motorsports Double Punt or Pivot in GPPs.

17. Landon Cassill ($ 7,700) – In 2019, Cassill finished 10th in Bristol for JD Motorsports. This car was much better funded, but the approach is still the same: avoid the wrecks. With starting position 35, Cassill doesn’t have to do much to be DFS-relevant.

18. Sage Karam ($ 6,500) – This is a science experiment if there ever was. Take an underperforming IndyCar driver and put him in a stock car in Bristol. Don’t let him practice either. This is not an experiment, it is a premise for a reality hoax show.

19. Bayley Currey ($ 5,600) – The last time Currey shotgun on the field, he finished 34th, 32nd the time before and 34th the time before. Maybe that’s not a good idea? Currey is a talented rider, but he’s aggressive and his gear is held together by bear tie and prayers.

20. Chad Finchum ($ 5,100) – It’s time to dust off the history of the home track. Not only are we using this unreliable, unscientific metric, we’re going to use it on a Carl Long car. Finchum has driven sparingly this season. Since this is one of his few opportunities, he’ll likely have a decent car. In each of his last three races in Bristol, Finchum achieved a top 25 placement.
