A barbershop, a taekwondo studio and other shops have opened in southwestern Austin since June.
1. Locker Room Haircuts opened in June at 8900 S. Congress Ave., Austin, and specializes in men’s, children’s and beard cuts in a sporty setting. Kyle and Danya Maxfield’s salon offers shampoo and drinks with every haircut. The salon also offers walk-ins and has multiple locations across Texas. 512-531-9114.
2. On July 19, Clement’s Paint opened a new location at 4301 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin. It’s the sixth location for Clement’s. The locally owned chain has served the Austin market for more than 35 years. It sells Benjamin Moore paint and other decorative finishes. Clement’s paint management decided to move to another location in Southwest Austin due to the growth and accessibility of the main thoroughfares. 512-358-6111.
3. Exacta Bookkeeping & Tax Services opened a new location at 8900 S. Congress Ave., 2nd Bldg., 125 St., Austin in June. The full-service accounting firm serves business and private customers across Texas. Three other locations exist in Round Rock, Georgetown and North Austin. 4. In August, Wons White Tiger Taekwondo opened a new martial arts studio. The studio on Oak Hill at 7100 Hwy. 290, St. A-1, Austin, aims to use martial arts not just as a form of combat, but as a system for self-improvement.
