As Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Gerber will be responsible for leading human resources to meet or exceed expectations for service levels and ensure compliance with related laws, regulations and company policies and standards. She will be instrumental in developing short, medium and long-term goals for improving processes and optimizing technologies, leading organizational change initiatives with relevant stakeholders and creating a corporate environment that recognizes and values employees. Working with all other departments to achieve the company’s goals, Gerber will keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in the market and help guide the company’s strategic direction.
Prior to joining Open Mortgage, Gerber held a variety of senior human resources positions at several leading mortgage companies. Most recently, she was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Premier Lending, Vice President of Human Resources for Movement Mortgage, and Director of Human Resources for Deephaven Mortgage and Goldman Sachs. In addition to these roles, Gerber served as a board member on both the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council as well as active in AdvisoryCloud. Other professional affiliations include the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas, and the Society for Human Resource Management. Gerber took part North Carolina State University, graduated from the College of Engineering and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources from the HR Management Institute.
