ORG Chem Group LLC (“Chem Group”) announced today that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of MPR Services, Inc (“MPR”). The acquisition further expands Chem Group’s presence in the amine recovery industry and introduces on-site recovery capabilities provided by mobile and permanent units. The combined organizations will be headquartered in Evansville, IN, with additional facilities in Troy, IN, Hot Springs, AR and Alvin, TX.
Headquartered in Alvin, TX, MPR is a leading customer return service provider serving customers in the United States, Europe and beyond. MPR has been providing permanent and mobile recovery services to customers in the oil refining, natural gas / LNG, petrochemical and ammonia / syngas industries since 1989 with proprietary amine solution purification technologies to purify gas used to remove sour gas. Prior to the acquisition, MPR was a wholly owned subsidiary of Tessenderlo Kerley Inc., a leader in the manufacture and marketing of specialty products for the agricultural, mining and chemical industries.
