This month’s winner is a key member of the school’s football team: Jake McAnally of Cedar Park High School.
AUSTIN, Texas – Cedar Park’s Jake McAnally is looking forward to his senior year. The Honor Society member is also a key member of the school’s soccer team.
McAnally understands what it takes to be successful in the field, but he also knows that doing business in the classroom is important.
“I always wanted to try to get all A’s. It’s also super important to me as I’m an athlete and I have to get good grades to stay on the field. Grades have always been important to me,” Jake told KVUE.
McAnally also keeps his busy schedule full of volunteer work. He has been a member of the Young Men’s Service League since his first year. McAnally and his mother work with Austin area charities such as the Austin Food Bank and Keep Austin Beautiful.
McAnally understands that going to college can help him be a versatile student in the future.
“I like to work as hard as I can in the classroom,” said McAnally. “It carries over perfectly to the field. We always do our best and do our best.”
He leans towards Texas Tech right now, but knows he still has time to make this important decision. McAnally plans to study business administration in college.
