After nearly two months of running their food truck in east Austin, Sunny’s Backyard, Austin’s newest (and largest) vegetable pub and terrace opens its bar this Friday, May 21st at 5:00 PM!
The co-owners and wife-husband team Charrissa and Merritt Vaughn opened their vegan food truck in March while waiting for the TABC license approval they just received!
In addition to a cozy indoor bar, Sunny’s offers a 3,000 square meter, dog-friendly terrace with seating for guests and a large stage for live music and events. Their innovative drinks menu includes a rotation of hyper-local craft beers on tap, including Blue Owl, Oskar Blues and Twisted X, as well as artisanal cocktails like Texas Mules, Ranch Waters and creations like Mai Sharona with El Silencio Mezcal, Plantation 3 Star Rum, Giffard Banana , Fresh lemon juice & orgeat.
They serve food from 5pm to 10pm and the bar stays open until midnight!
