Austin Police are investigating a murder Saturday morning after a woman was found shot dead in a house.
Austin Police said officials responded to a report of a woman who was shot dead shortly before 2 a.m. in a house on 100 block of 10th Street NW in the southern city of Minnesota.
Officials and rescue workers provided assistance to the victim before they were taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System hospital, where they died.
The victim will be identified once the autopsy is complete.
Investigators do not believe the incident was random and do not see it as a constant threat to the public.
