CEDAR PARK, Texas – The city of Cedar Park announced late Thursday that Shop LC will be bringing its national headquarters to the city.
Shop LC, a television broadcaster and leading online retailer of jewelry and lifestyle products, will create 1,000 jobs with the move. This will make the company the largest employer in Cedar Park, according to a press release. In addition, a total of $ 50 million in capital investments will be made.
Shop LC is currently headquartered in Austin, according to the press release.
Under the terms of the agreement, Shop LC will build a 200,000 square foot facility near the intersection of East New Hope Drive and North Bell Boulevard or US 183. The restriction is expected to be completed by the end of September 2024.
“We welcome the relocation of world-class Shop LC headquarters to Cedar Park. With 1,000 high-quality jobs, you will be our largest employer. Shop LC will invest significant capital in our community and provide primary employment opportunities for our residents. This fits in perfectly with our city council’s strategic goal of economic vitality, “said Mayor Corbin Van Arsdale.
The move was approved by Cedar Park City Council, as recommended by the City’s Sales Tax Company for Economic Development, at its November 18th council meeting.
Shop LC was founded in 2007 and, according to a press release, reaches around 73 million households every day via a 24-hour program. It is an interactive home shopping network that focuses on the jewelry, beauty, fashion, home decor and lifestyle product categories.
