The Rolling Stones’s Mick Jagger Visited These Austin Restaurants and Bars

Mick Jagger – yes, this Mick Jagger of legendary rock band The Rolling Stones – was exploring Austin before his concert at the Circuit of the Americas on Saturday, November 20th. His itinerary included a stop in South Austin Honky-Tonk Broken Spoke and meal from taco truck Taqueria El Trompo Mayor west of the airport (hopefully he ordered a pastor). East Austin Italian spot Intero also shared an Instagram story about the band’s food at the restaurant.
New hotel and rooftop bar opened in Oak Hill
A new hotel with a rooftop bar has opened in Oak Hill. The AC Hotel Austin Hill Country, along with the Salt + Stone bar, opened on November 17th at 7415 Southwest Parkway in the Lantana Place retail project. The outdoor bar serves small dishes (baba ghanoush, burrata with Thai red chilli sauce), cocktails with a large focus on various salted edges (the smokey eyes with tequila, cointreau and a dried plum powder, and a bloody mary with sotol and beer) , Wines and Austin beers. There is also the AC Lounge with small plates and cocktails and the AC Kitchen with breakfast.
A liquor store opens in Fredericksburg
Another beverage-related store opens in the upcoming Fredericksburg Food Hall Grand Central on the Milam project. Iron Goat Distillery opens a retail store focusing on its spirits from agave to honey to flavored rum. The entire project will open sometime in the spring of 2022.
TABC employees mingle
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) executive director A. Bentley Nettles will be retiring next year. He has held the position for the past five years since his appointment in May 2017. His last working day will be April 30, 2022.
