HOUSTON & BASTROP, Texas – (BUSINESS WIRE) – The Thin Blue Line Foundation is holding its inaugural Backin ‘the Badges Motorcycle Rally and Music Fest at Fisherman’s Park in Bastrop, Texas near Austin on September 3rd and 4th at Fisherman’s Park in Bastrop, Texas near Austin. The Thin Blue Line Foundation aims to attract motorcyclists and others who support the organization’s mission to provide financial and emotional support to law enforcement personnel, as well as first responders and medical workers.
Backin ‘the Badges Rally’s weekend activities include performances by five bands, motorcycle games, the Honor Ride for Heroes, a bike show, a jeep show and event sponsorship booths with an extensive range of products and services. On Friday, September 3rd, law enforcement and other first responders will be admitted for free along with a guest. Valid ID must be presented.
Gate times for Friday, September 3, are from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. General admission is $ 10 per person. On Saturday, September 4th, gate times are from 1pm to midnight. General admission tickets are $ 15. Children under five have free entry. The fee for a two-day general admission pass is $ 25 for adults. Customers must show their online receipt upon check-in.
Most of the Backin ‘the Badges rally participants are police officers or family members and friends of police officers from Bastrop and the Austin, Bryan-College Station, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio subway areas. An escort from the San Antonio Police Department and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office will accompany the Heroes Honor Ride on Saturday. Police officers from Bastrop and SparTex Protection Solutions, LLC. will be on site for security purposes. The rescue service will also support the event.

Katy Independent School District Police Officer Luis Santiago, Founder of the Teddy Cops Program, will act as Teddy Cop Bear to raise awareness of autism, and the Devil’s Brew girls will be handing out samples of a new line of whiskey.
