Transportation details on how to get to Austin FC’s Q2 Stadium

Large crowds are expected at Q2 Stadium for Austin FC’s first game on June 19th.

So if you’re planning on watching the opening game, here are a few options to help you spend time in the stands rather than in traffic.

CAPITAL METRO

CapMetro provides public transportation for all Austin FC home games

With the first home game around the corner, lines 3, 383 and 392 and the train at Kramer station will be the best choice for fans of local public transport.

Public transport is the main form of transport that officials would like to take with them. Capital Metro has several options.

  • MetroRapid 803 runs at least every 10 minutes and stops in front of the stadium. To get you home quickly, additional MetroRapid vehicles will be lined up along Bright Verde Way at the end of the game.
  • Line 3 will operate according to its normal schedule and get off in front of the stadium.
  • Route 383 will operate at an increased frequency of 15 minutes between the two nearby Park & ​​Rides: North Lamar Transit Center and Pavilion Park & ​​Ride. The route ends in front of the stadium.
  • Route 392 will run between Q2 Stadium and Tech Ridge Transit Center at an increased frequency of 20 minutes.

You can take the MetroRail to get to the Q2 stadium. Once at Kramer train station, fans should follow the signs to the stadium to find the safest, most accessible and optimal path to walk.

Officials have the following safety tips when taking MetroRail:

  • Never cross the railroad tracks when getting on or off the train
  • Always stay up and follow the sidewalks to and from the train station and stadium
  • Avoid walking near or on the train tracks
  • Be mindful of the surroundings and be careful

Park & ​​Ride

If fans don’t live near a route leading to the second quarter, there are four recommended Park and Ride locations with routes to the stadium:

  • North Lamar Traffic Center
  • Park & ​​Ride pavilion
  • Tech Ridge Park & ​​Ride
  • Westgate Transit Center

RIDE

Those who choose a ride-sharing service like Lyft or Uber will take them to a special rideshare drop-off point on the west side of Q2 Stadium and to the post-game pick-up areas north and south of the stadium on Brockton Drive and Rutland Drive.

PRIVATE SHUTTLE

The Q2 Stadium will also accommodate private shuttles with a dedicated drop-off and pick-up area at the north end of the stadium. Fans will use the form linked here to pre-register their private shuttle drop-off at the Q2 stadium within 72 hours of each event.

Everyone is encouraged to secure parking before leaving for the second quarter.

Parking is very limited in the 2nd quarter. Austin FC said the properties owned and controlled by Q2 will be pre-sold to season pass members of the Q2 Stadium Club.
