Bentonville-based Oz Brands, a compilation of outdoor recreational and arts initiatives, will give Austin, Texas residents an opportunity to win one-way flights to northwest Arkansas, according to a news release on Wednesday Oct. 20 ).

Oz Brands, consisting of Oz Art, Oz Trails and Fly OzHe is giving away single-use tickets for Allegiant Air to residents of Austin “who need a break from the rapid overgrowth of the booming subway,” the press release said. “Why only one way? Because as soon as visitors see the hidden gem of the Northwest Arkansas region, they won’t want to leave. “

The “One Way Out” campaign is for Austin residents “who feel like they are losing what fell in love with the city years ago,” the statement said. “Restaurant reservations are impossible, hiking trails are overcrowded, local attractions are teeming with tourists, apartments are becoming more expensive, and stag and hen parties have hit the city center.”

The publication said US News & World Report recently ranked northwest Arkansas as the fourth best place to live in the United States, one place ahead of Austin.

“Autumn is the best time of year to enjoy NWA,” the press release said. “The Ozark Mountains offer a special and unsurpassed beauty for all fall foliage lovers. The Ozarks are home to more than 480 miles of nature trails that are perfect for exploring the rivers, cliffs and hills on a hike, bike, or even plane. “

The flight giveaway is open to anyone who is 18 years or older and lives within 50 miles of Austin. Winners must book the trip within four months and complete the trip by May 1, 2022. Link here for the competition that ends on October 29th.

When asked how many one-way flights are being given away in the campaign, Krista Cupp, communications director for the Bentonville-based Runway Group, said “we’re starting with 10 tickets.” The winners will be selected in the first week of November, she said.
