Montgomery Fest returns Aug. 13-15

In a year still marked by pandemic cancellations and ever-changing policies, a community is returning to normal. The village of Montgomery recently announced that the 36th annual Montgomery Festival will be held from August 13th to 15th. The festival takes place in downtown Montgomery on the Fox River.
The festival is back and better than ever with a jam-packed three day program of live entertainment, carnival, food, beer tent, fishing derby, parade, auto show, fireworks and more.
A free festival shuttle bus service is offered on Saturday and Sunday from two locations for easy access and parking: Lakewood Creek Elementary School, 2301 Lakewood Creek Drive and the U-Haul parking lot, 1900 Douglas Road, on Close to Douglas and Route 30. Shuttle buses run approximately every half hour from 11am to 10pm. Limited parking spaces are available for the festival on the street and in the Lyon Metal parking lot (421 N. Main St.) west of the festival area.
New this year, the festival will have a new layout that brings the stage into the park so festival goers can enjoy the shade and views of the Fox River. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for spreading out and social distancing.
The Fox Valley Park District and Oswegoland Park District offer free park fitness for all ages and abilities on Saturday and Sunday mornings. On Saturday in the Montgomery & Countryside Fire Protection District, a Touch A Fire Truck will take place on River Street in front of the children’s favorite water fights to see the trucks up close, while the BMX Bike Stunt Shows on Sunday afternoon will delight and thrill spectators all ages.
