Accenture has taken over the consulting division of Headspring, a cloud-native company for custom software development.
Headspring was founded in 2001 and helps clients in the private and public sectors overcome challenges in the development of cloud applications, enterprise architecture and IT modernization. The company’s consulting services include product strategy and roadmaps, app development and security, experience design, DevOps, business intelligence, cloud transformation, IT change management and process optimization. Headspring also has a managed IT services department.
The company has approximately 90 employees in the United States and Mexico and has worked with clients such as Dell, Whole Foods, and CenterPoint Energy.
Accenture’s acquisition of Headspring’s consulting division will strengthen the company’s cloud-first business, which has garnered $ 3 billion in investments over a three-year period. The 70,000-person company has skills in cloud migration, infrastructure and application services, and research and development resources in edge computing and other emerging areas.

Accenture added Imaginea, a Mountain View, CA-based, cloud-native product and platform engineering company with 1,350 employees worldwide, to Cloud First earlier this year.
The Dublin-based company strengthened its operations division again this year with the acquisition of the IT procurement specialist ClearEdge Partners and the purchase of the supply chain technology consultancy Blue Horseshoe.
