Austin (Travis County) – The luxury hotel company Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Austin Capital Partners and international real estate investment company Hines Recently announced plans for the Four Seasons Private Residences Lake Austin.
The new Lake Austin gated community will feature contemporary architecture, private access to the water, unmatched amenities and dedicated Four Seasons staff who, according to a press release, will exclusively manage every aspect of the property’s luxurious service offerings.
Hines will lead the development team and lead the construction of the project.
Surrounded by 2,000 acres of extensive green space, the private enclave is 20 minutes from downtown Austin and offers sheltered panoramic views of the lake, Pennybacker Bridge, the PGA golf course, and the downtown skyline.
“We are proud to partner with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to introduce the brand’s first standalone residential property in Texas,” said Jonathan Coon, CEO of Austin Capital Partners. “Coupled with legendary five-star service and amenities, the community offers a rare combination of hill views, private boat docks on Lake Austin, privacy and security.”
“Our collection of standalone private residences is a natural extension of the Four Seasons brand – guided by the same principles of service and quality excellence – while offering a unique lifestyle experience outside of our hotels and resorts,” said John Davison, President and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “We are excited to partner with Austin Capital Partners on this extraordinary new project that will offer residents a breathtaking Lake Austin setting, exceptional design, and an extensive collection of amenities and experiences provided by Four Seasons and for Lake Austin residents to be curated. ”
The project will be positioned on a secluded hill above a 90 degree bend in the lake. The height and backdrop of the 145 acre parish add to the dynamism of the privacy of the development.
With great dedication to land management, the project’s developers will implement a city-approved plan that will include 90 acres of wildlife sanctuary and parkland, turn a scenic lookout into a public park, and save more than 2,000 feet of shoreline from development, according to the press release.
“Responsible use of the environment to preserve and protect this iconic place was central to our vision for this project,” said Coon. “Our plan – supported by our neighbors and approved by the city – provides safe and accessible public parking for the lookout point and cliff. In addition to donating half of our lakefront property to the city, we will continue to invest in the responsible green space development of the project and create the first new park on Lake Austin in decades. “
Perched above Shepard Mountain, the project’s 179 units will capture expansive views from 280 to 380 feet above Lake Austin and large outdoor decks and a down-to-earth experience that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces.
The units will have semi-private lobbies with only one other residence on the same floor. The unit size will range from 1,900 square meters “pieds-à-terre” to four-bedroom residences with gardens and pools and large penthouses with 3,000 square meters of terraces and 12-meter pools.
Residents and their guests have access to private wellness, spa, beauty and sports experiences through The orangery, a quiet inner garden with a 25 meter high indoor pool and “large” space for exercise, yoga and meditation.
The project will also include a 60,000-square-foot sports center with private exercise rooms, two golf simulators, two squash courts, a full-size indoor basketball court, an indoor sand tennis court, an outdoor tennis court, four dedicated indoor pickleball courts, and a children’s gym and play area. A spa will have hot and cold plunge pools, private treatment rooms, saunas, and steam rooms in both locker rooms, and a beauty salon.
A 3,500-square-foot clubhouse on the corner of the project will overlook a 90-degree curve of the lake that includes a 90-meter long infinity pool with three lounge and swim areas tailored for adults and families, adjoining a game room and private cabanas as well as 576 foot jetties with private lounges over the boat docks.
The Four Seasons Private Residences Lake Austin will also feature a theater with an 18-meter-wide Samsung Onyx Cinema LED screen for watching movies, concerts, lectures and sporting events. The back wall was designed to open up to the theater lounge above, which creates a mezzanine-like experience for residents’ gatherings and private events.
The development will also include a two-story restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows and dedicated private areas. On the main level, cabins offer intimate seating, on the second level there are three private dining rooms and a separate kitchen area that can be reserved for special celebrations. The project also includes a café.
the Austin American statesman reported that construction should begin in early 2023 and be completed by the end of 2025.
