Austin Restaurant Weeks returns to table with deals from 50-plus spots

This fall, Austinites looking for a yummy way to support the leading nonprofit fighting hunger can have their cake and eat it too, along with pastas and burgers, cocktails and enchiladas and steaks from more than 50 of the best restaurants in town , Bars and breweries.

Austin Restaurant Weeks is back for 10 days with fixed price menus, specialty menus, and specialty drinks, all in support of the Central Texas Food Bank. And it just released its impressive full list of participating facilities. (Trust us, all of your favorites are involved.)

Austin Restaurant Weeks, which run Friday October 1 through Sunday October 10, couldn’t come at a better time considering both local establishments and the food bank are in desperate times thanks to the ongoing pandemic are.

And if the success of the last Austin Restaurant Weeks event – which came before the pandemic and raised enough money to provide 893,000 meals to needy Central Texans – is any indication, this year’s affair is sure to bring the bacon home. As Austin Restaurant Weeks notes, diners can turn a table for two into a meal for 50 people.

“We’re excited to be running Austin Restaurant Weeks again in 2021,” said Mark Jackson, chief development officer at Central Texas Food Bank, which serves nearly 75,000 people in 21 counties in central Texas each week. “In recent years the event has collected nearly a million and a half meals for hungry Central Texans.

Here’s what Austin Restaurant Weeks, presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Delta Air Lines, is serving up this October. With lunch and dinner, cocktails, beer, and wines, local foodies can dine and sip on food bank at one of the dozen of participating local restaurants, bars, and breweries.

Participating local establishments, including hotspots such as Arlo Gray, Bar Peached, Foreign & Domestic, Intero, Little Ola’s Biscuits, Salt Traders Coastal Cooking and many more, will offer one or more of the following options during Austin Restaurant Weeks:

  • A two- to three-course lunch priced at $ 20.

  • A three to four course meal priced at $ 35 or $ 50.

  • Tito’s handmade vodka-based cocktails.

  • The choice of house beer or wine at different prices.
