Benvolio’s launches North Austin ghost kitchen, plus more openings

1. Benvolio’s, a new delivery restaurant from Veneto Hospitality, opened on August 11th in a ghost kitchen at 5610 I-35 N., Austin. The restaurant’s menu is “classic Italian with a twist” and offers salads, sandwiches and pizza with additional influences from Greek and Texan cuisine. Benvolio is available through ordering apps like DoorDash, UberEats, and GrubHub. Veneto Hospitality also runs Julia Italian Kitchen.

2. The Holdsworth Center nonprofit, the public education institution, opened its new 44 acre campus on Lake Austin in June. The 173,000-square-foot Education and Conference Center at 4907 RM 2222, Austin includes a range of classrooms, a library, coffee shop, outdoor theater, boat launch, and accommodations spread across the lakeside campus. 737-946-7300.

3. Owner Natalie Knox, a marriage and family therapist and professional counselor, opened the North Austin Mental Health Institute on July 1. The clinic is located at 3445 Executive Center Drive, Ste. 117, Austin, caters to families, couples, and teenagers ages 14+. Knox is also a St. Edwards Professor, and her previous work includes volunteering with teenagers in schools in the Dallas area. 512-680-2110.

4. The Austin Public Library’s Yarborough branch reopened in May after completing more than $ 500,000 in bond-funded indoor and outdoor renovation projects that began in 2019. The renovations include new drywall and electrical work, as well as a new lending desk and a refreshed mural. The branch is located in the 1965 Americana Theater, 2200 Hancock Drive, Austin.
