A federal look at cranberry shopping habits roughly equates Texas with the national average for fresh cranberry orders through Instacart, the grocery store found.
Pushing the news forward: According to data from Instacart, Americans disagree on whether to have fresh or canned cranberry sauce on their Thanksgiving table.
- Fresh cranberry sauce has a slight advantage, gaining 26 states over the 24 states of canned cranberries.
The Lone Star State buys fresh cranberries as canned food only 0.2% more often than the national average.
- Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska are the top three states for buying fresh cranberries.
Our cranberry is taking:
- Nicole prefers the fresh stuff, but she doesn’t turn up her nose when canned cranberries are on the table. Her mom makes great fresh sauce every Thanksgiving.
- Ashers Mama also makes a delicious cranberry sauce – one kind spicy, another not. But don’t overdo it: remember, you can fit a lot of food on this plate.
