Tesla boss Elon Musk has emphasized this again and again and the proof lies in the recent delay for the cybertruck.
The automaker’s website has apparently confirmed that the first deliveries of its stainless steel pickup have been postponed to 2022.
“You will be able to complete your configuration when production approaches in 2022,” states the reservation page for all three versions of Cybertruck. Previously, the Dual Motor AWD and Tri Motor AWD configurations were listed with a target date of 2021.

“I think the Cybertruck ramp will be difficult because it’s such a new architecture. I mean it will be a great product. It could be our best product ever. Built at Tesla’s under construction in Austin, Texas, along with the Model Y, the Cybertruck will use radically new production methods that will replace dozens of parts with large one-piece castings and will be powered by next-generation battery technology still in the making Development.
