CLEVELAND, Ohio – OhioGuidestone will honor restaurateurs Brandon Chrostowski, Austin Hooper of the Cleveland Browns, and others at the nonprofit’s sold out Evolution Gala.
The Berea-based Behavioral Health Authority gala is scheduled for Saturday, September 25th at 6:30 p.m. at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was previously postponed – once because of a conflict with the Rolling Stones concert, once because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Evolution Gala, the nonprofit’s premier fundraiser, brings together leaders from the area’s corporate and philanthropic communities to support OhioGuidestone’s mission of helping individuals grow.
This year’s event aims to highlight the agency’s Workforce 360 ° program, which provides support services to help individuals find employment through professional training, academic support and other services.
This year’s winners:
Community: Brandon Chrostowski, Founder, President, and CEO of Edwin’s Leadership & Restaurant Institute. Chrostowski is hiring and training recently released detainees to work in his facilities, which include the fine-dining French restaurant, butcher shop and bakery.
Sports: Cleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper.
Company: Fifth Third Bank, accepted by Joseph DiRocco, President of the Northern Ohio Region.
Workforce 360 °: Breawnna Snowberger, Graduate of Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program.
In a publication, Hooper praised the program.
“Resources like these are so important, especially for children who are leaving the care system. This is very important to me as the Austin Hooper Foundation’s mission is to help these children find their passion and careers to be self-sustaining, productive members of society. “
Admission includes gourmet food, dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, Rock Hall exhibition tours, live music by Monica Robins and The Whiskey Kings, and more.
WKYC news anchor and chief meteorologist Betsy Kling will act as moderator.
