There are many ways to enjoy autumn in the Central Texas region, whether it be a family-friendly festival, picking the perfect pumpkin in a flower bed, or taking a trip to the countryside to soak up the weather.

PUMPKIN PATCHES

Through November 7th: Austin Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch at Barton Hill Farms

Visit a family owned farm for the Austin Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch. Visitors can pick pumpkins, complete a 5-acre corn maze, take a train ride, listen to live music, fire apple cannons, and find other fall activities. There is also a beer and apple vineyard. The festival is open Saturdays, Sundays, and Monday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at $ 21.95 per person.

Until November 7th: Sweet Berry Farm

Visit the Sweet Berry Farm to pick flowers, feed goats, and paint pumpkins. All events are family-friendly. 8.30 a.m.-5.30 p.m. (Mon-Sat), 11 a.m.-5 p.m. (Sun), Wed closed. Prices vary depending on the event. $ 4 (hay rides), $ 5.25 (pumpkin painting), $ 1.25 to $ 70 (pumpkins).

Through November 7th: Texas Pumpkin Fest

Until November 14th: Sweet Eats Fruit Farm Fall Festival

This annual festival includes a 4.5 acre corn maze, 2 acre pumpkin patch, wagon rides, food trucks, live music, and more activities. In October there are fireworks and night hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Ticket prices and times vary depending on the day.

Through October 31: Cedar Park Pumpkin Patch

The 25th annual pumpkin patch at Cedar Park First United Methodist Church features pumpkins through Halloween. Pumpkins are sold in different shapes and sizes. 2.30 p.m.-7.30 p.m. (Mon-Fri), 12 p.m.-7.30 p.m. (Sat-Sun). Free admission.

AUTUMN FESTIVALS

October 16: Autumn festival of the Christian community in the community

Games, face painting, a petting zoo, hot dogs and prizes are all on offer at the Round Rock Community Christian Church’s Fall Festival. 11 am-2pm free admission.

October 30th: Spicewood Fall Festival

The annual Fall Festival includes a hobo stew cooking contest, cakewalk, Halloween treats, and games for kids. The festival is jointly sponsored with The Spicewood General Store and The Spicewood Library. 6 p.m. $ 10 (hobo stew contest).

HALLOWEEN EVENTS

October 16: Hairy Man Halloween Trail

The Hairy Man Halloween Trail of Fun is hosted by the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District and features packaged treats and freebies, a pumpkin patch, giant spider web, and more. There will be two transit times so that young and old children can enjoy the event. 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. admission free.

October 23: Kyle Center Street trick or treating

All ghosts and leprechauns are invited to a morning of trick or treating Halloween festivities at Kyle Center Street, in an attempt by the city to provide a safe opportunity to celebrate Halloween. A tidbit trail is set up in the park by local businesses and vendors to hand out candy to trick or treating. Paint and pumpkins are provided and must be decorated on site. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Free admission.

October 23: San Marcos Halloween Picnic

The San Marcos Heritage Association is hosting a Halloween picnic for families and children of all ages can join the celebrations. Take off your costumes for an afternoon of dining, palm tree readings, and telling myths and legends in the city’s cemetery. 11 am-2pm free admission.

October 24th: Halloween Children’s Concert

The Austin Symphony Orchestra presents its annual Halloween Children’s Concert with “terribly fun symphonic music” for children ages 2 to 10. Families are encouraged to dress in costume for the hour-long concert. Tickets can be bought online. 3:00 p.m. Ticket prices vary.

October 30th: Boo Bash on the lawn

Celebrate Halloween at the Hill Country Galleria. Entertainer Joe McDermott will be on the Central Plaza Lawn along with balloon artists and costumed characters. Halloween treats are available while they last. Participants are asked to dress in costume. A dog costume competition is also offered. Noon-4 p.m. admission free.

October 30th: Halloween at the Hotel Granduca

Celebrate Halloween with a family-friendly event on the second floor of the Hotel Granduca. Trick or treat is offered along with activities for pets. 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. free admission.

October 30th: Witches ride

Participants are encouraged to wear costume when lining up along Lakeway Drive from the Live Oak Driving Range to the Lakeway Activity Center. Costumed witches will toss candy to the assembled as they ride their bicycles in a witch parade. The parade is open to anyone wishing to attend, but registration for $ 25 to take part in the parade will close at midnight on October 18. You don’t have to have a bike to participate. All non-motorized drivers are cordially invited to meet at the start at 6 p.m. Other activities in the destination of the parade route include live music, a photo box and food trucks. 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. admission free.

AUTUMN EVENTS

October 24th: More than Pink Walk

Take a walk in support of breast cancer patients. Participants are encouraged to raise funds to fund research, treatments, and breast cancer screening and screening. Both a personal and a virtual experience are planned for the fundraising event. Registration is possible online. 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Hill Country Galleria is hosting a concert by Austin City Limits Radio. Featured actors include The Peterson Brothers. Concerts take place on the Central Plaza Lawn of the Galleria. 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. admission free.

5th-14th November: Sausage Festival

Visit New Braunfels for the annual sausage festival. Visitors will find German food, music, dance, rides and games, special events and entertainment. There is German, Texan and local beer. 11 a.m. – midnight (Sat), 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. (Sun), 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Mon – Thu), 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. (Fri). $ 18 (entry).

November 6th: ChamberFest

Continuing the annual SpringFest, Chamberfest is an outdoor exhibit and festival hosted by the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce at the Hill Country Galleria. Live music and events for children are offered. Pet owners can meet on Bark Avenue, a designated pet area where pet supply sellers are present. More than 95 local and regional stalls will be set up and a boat exhibition will be offered in the Central Plaza. 11 am-7pm free admission; additional costs for some activities.

November 25th: ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot

Run the annual ThunderCloud Subs Turkey Trot in Austin on Thanksgiving Day. A virtual racing option is available. Race packages can be picked up on race day from First Texas Honda and the Long Center. The races include a 5 mile run, a 1 mile walk, and a kids run. Registration is possible online. The race will benefit the Caritas of Austin. 9:30 am $ 10-27.
